We are delighted to support Go Green Reads with their Virtual Discussion, which is going to be a fun one! The Book Stall's bookseller and environmentalist Jon Grand and economist and environmentalist Craig Witty will lead a discussion of the 1968 article, The Tragedy of the Commons, by Garrett Hardin. The Tragedy of the Commons explains individuals' tendencies to make decisions based on their personal needs and self-interest, regardless of the negative impact they may have on others. In the environmental context, resources are overused, exploited, and eventually depleted, to the detriment of all.
